On Monday, February 9, 2026, the Primus fish farm welcomed an international group of visitors from Wallonia (Belgium). As part of a FEAMPA-funded project of the European Maritime, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Fund (Chargé de mission Aquaculture), 20 Walloon fish farmers took part in a study trip lasting several days, which showcased our excellence in aquaculture.
The aim of the trip was to facilitate professional exchange between the aquaculture sectors of both regions, promote collaborative learning, and initiate new cross-border cooperation—all areas in which Fischgut Primus plays a leading role. The group was accompanied by a professional translation service, which enabled intensive, constructive dialogue at the highest level.
During the tour of the Primus fish farm, operations manager Lothar Primus explained the operational structure, the optimized production processes, and our clearly defined priorities: animal welfare, water quality, and sustainable fish farming. The Walloon delegation expressly praised the visit and emphasized the constructive exchange, which further strengthens our position as a pioneer in the industry.
